So the big news, "Russia reportedly names US as threat to national security for first time". Is this really that surprising? With their continued aggression and criminal actions in places like Ukraine and Georgia(both U.S. allies), the U.S. absolutely *should* be a threat to their security. The sad truth is that we really are not. Aside from sanctions, which have a limited effectiveness, there is no serious talk of combating the destabilizing and criminal actions of the Russians. The United States plans to do nothing threatening to roll back the damage done by Russia's crimes. If their repeated invasion and threats against neighboring nations aren't enough, consider their military support of Assad, a man who used chemical weapons against civilians in his own country(Russia literally going to war for the man), while fighting against Western-supported rebels under the guise of fighting ISIS; or perhaps consider Russia's long-term support of most of the enemies of the United States. Yes, the United States should be a threat to Russia, because Russia is an active aggressor against U.S. allies and a continued threat to global security.
